The inspiration for this project came from the tournament theme: Yuyu Hakusho’s dark tournament. This project allowed me to expand stylistically through the use of 2D plates painted in photoshop.
Absorbing Inspiration!
In order to have a smooth creative process, it is important to have a solid base of references and inspiration to build on. Each project is made pleasant when built on a solid foundation.
Camera movement is something many get wrong in 3D. It’s very easy to add too much motion thereby pulling the audience away from your story. Animating the camera along a curve helped to create no wasted motion as well as maintain the anime aesthetic of energetic flow.
